In the back yard, potted geraniums
mystery sage
turk's cap (just started blooming yesterday)
volunteer sunflower
and cucumber
In the front yard, oregano (scrubby, but the bees like it)
a late primrose
first flame acanthus bloom of the year
the front view, looking healthy but a bit crazy (a flame acanthus planted itself front and center, and despite cutting it off to below ground level twice, it thrives and prevents me from getting to the center of the bed to weed and prune...sigh)
standing cypress: I love the red fireworks of flowers (can't seem to get my copper canyon to bloom)
the autumn sage is not loving the heat, but there are a few blooms
coreopsis
and the dependable euphorbia 'diamond frost', which apparently loves afternoon sun.

Cool beans! That Primrose is a favorite of mine and I just love the reds.
Eh... don't worry about getting in there to weed and prune. Who's looking at anything besides that beautifully bright flame acanthus anyway?!
By the way, I'm totally going to think: "Scrubby, but the bees like it," every time I see my oregano in the back yard from now on. It will make me feel better about the scrubby part, lol!
Mmm... I love the basil in that last photo. It looks so luscious!
I enjoyed this visit to your garden. My geraniums are hanging on in the summer heat and I have seen some cucumbers start to form as well. I still have a tiny oregano plant I planted from seed that I am nurturing :-)
Widh I knew the name of your mystery salvia so I could get one -lol. The ones I have are darker purple. The standing cypress is a striking plant.
