Thought I'd start with a few photos of blooms that are doing well right now.
The rest of the blooms are pretty much the same as the past couple of months, but with some cold weather damage (and by cold weather, I mean a few nights that got around freezing). A lot of leggy, scruffy perennials...can't wait to cut them back after a real freeze. Also, excuse all the leaves. Wednesday afternoon is raking time.
To see other gardens on this bloom day, go to May Dreams Garden, where Carol hosts this monthly event.

Pretty pics. I love the contrast of the grey plant and the yellow flowers, very nice combination.
You have more blooms than I do this Bloom Day, even though you are a bit farther north than I. Weather is a funny thing, isn't it? For example, my butterfly weeds (except one) have all been blasted by our frosts, but I see yours is still going strong.
You may have been hit with the freeze but you still have color in the garden. Nice to see the flowers. Here, my plants were mostly snow covered.
Thanks, Mac! And I agree that weather is a funny thing, Birdwoman. There are Austin gardens less affected by cold than mine, but this butterfly weed happens to be on the south side of the house with a hedge to the east, so fairly protected. The caterpillar on it even survived the dip into the 30's the other day.
I wish I had that many flowers this time of year! Very pretty photos, love the salvias!
Your blooms are fading, but you still have quite a few more than my shady Austin garden. Like the leaf color in that fourth shot.
Yeah, I do actually like the burgundy and purples of some of the frost-touched plants, like the firebush and lantana. And I don't have anything blooming in the shady areas right now.
And thank you, Appalachian Feet! Salvias are the most dependable bloomers in the garden.
Hi, Amy;
What a luscious color of peach in that Christmas cactus! I have a peachy one like that, too, but she's so stubborn. I don't get very many pretty flowers from her. Always happy when I do though.
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
I like the peach hue, too! Just got it a couple of weeks ago, to make up for the fact that my hot pink cactus I've had for years only had one bloom. And happy holidays!
great, they all pretty and brings you a beautiful morning everyday
