Love the white poppy with the pale lilac splashes. Is this the Hungarian one? They all pair so nicely with he feather grass.
Last year I grew California Poppies, this year I grew some pink ones that look like the ones that you photographed but mine aren't nearly as lovely as yours. They are a little on the anemic side and need more sun. Your entire curb strip looks nice. Good job! I'm sure the bees love you :)
Yes, I'm pretty sure the first pic is the Hungarian one (the Renee's Garden seed packet illustration shows it a little pinker, but it's the closest match from the seed I threw out).
Roberta, I love California poppies! Threw out seed for those around the yard, but they didn't really take off. And thanks!
Amy - lovely plants for the hell strip (I may be stealing some ideas from it, if you don't mind).
Katina, of course! And these plants have been "road" tested by dog-walkers and kids on bikes, so they're pretty tough survivors.
