First caterpillar (Queen) I've seen in a long time on the milkweed. And a few aphids keeping him company.

Oh this makes me so happy! I've seen nothing on the milkweed so far but keeping my hopes high!
Yep, I'm hoping I might see more but mostly just enjoying the moment.
Lucky duck. I don't have ANY caterpillars this year because of a paperwasp nest on the side of my house.
cool! i wish i could get one of those caterpillars in my yard. i've never seen milkweed like that before. all the milkweed here has big, spherical heads composed of tightly-packed pinkish flowers.
The butterfly weed here in the nurseries is either this shade or a mix of dark orange and yellow. I'd love to have a pink one!
