So, I've been wanting to do a foliage follow-up post (hosted by Pam at Digging) for months now, and I've finally gotten around to it.
From the top: Tropicana canna, paddle kalanchoe, virginia creeper, lemongrass, coleus, pride of barbados, feathergrass with a knot in its "hair", blackie sweet potato, new hanging basket (I think it's creeping jenny).

Cannas come in such a wonderful variety of foliage. That species is another that I wish would grow in the shade!
Hi Amy,
It's my first time to visit your blog. Your photo shots are gorgeous. I can tell you have an artist's eye. Beautiful plants!
Happy Foliage Follow-up.
David over in Houston
at Tropical Texana
RBell- Yep, those cannas do love the sun. Cannas were so common and suburban growing up in South Texas, but I've really come to appreciate them in the past several years. So many beautiful leaf and bloom color combos.
David- Thanks for stopping by! And I'm glad you liked the photos.
I see you have a wad of seeds from Stipa. I combed out a freezer bag of them yesterday. Love the Canna.
It's great to see so much foliage doing so well, even in this heat. Hope you get your plant identified. It looks familiar but I can't put a name to it.
Come on over to my garden. I'll give you all the VA creeper and Jenny you want! Love the blog!
Greggo- I think the wind or the birds took the seed tangle; I should have thought to collect them!
Lancashire rose-The foliage that looks good in the morning looks parched in the hot, dry afternoon. Hoping for rain!
Wicked Gardener- I've definitely got all the VA creeper I can keep up with, but I do love Jenny. Thanks!
